Mrs. Elaine Strand
Executive Director


Elaine has over 25 years of experience in the childcare industry with over 15 of those years as an administrator at 3 different schools and varying curriculum. She has a diverse background in the childcare industry as she started out as a teacher assistant and held various teaching and management positions. Elaine started her career with Twin Oaks Private School in 1998 - she says, “It is truly a pleasure to be back as the Executive Director!” She has her Texas State Director License and her Child Development Associate.    

Elaine has two clear goals for the young children at TOPS: First, to instill in children a love for learning by praising their accomplishments, encouraging their efforts, and valuing their thoughts and opinions. Second, to become successful learners, both now and in the future, to think for themselves, to solve problems, and to get along with others. As a mother of five, 3 boys and 2 girls, she truly understands the needs of a working parent. Elaine has an open-door policy, so please stop by and say “Hi” or come by to voice any questions or concerns you should have to her. 

Mrs. Amy 

Assistant Director 


 Amy is the Assistant Director here at Twin Oaks Private School. She has over 20 years of experience in childcare both as a teacher and in management. Amy loves every part of her job, from watching children to helping manage the school daily. Her goal is to make parents and their children feel comfortable and happy with our care. Twin Oaks is like her second home, and she wants each child to feel loved and appreciated. 
 
Amy was born in Fort Worth and raised here in Allen. She has two sisters who are also employed here at Twin Oaks, and one little brother. She is currently married and has two children, Selena and Angel, and treats all the students as if they were her own. Her favorite hobby is spending time with her family and shopping. Her favorite saying in Spanish “mi casa es tu casa,” which means my house is your house, represents how she wants you to feel at home here at TOPS.
